Medina stickmen romp past Wilson

Getting goal production from eight different players, Medina snapped a three game losing streak by romping to a 19-0 victory over visiting Wilson in an non league lacrosse game this afternoon at Vets Park.

Brett Pecoraro and Jake Cotter each scored 4 goals to lead Medina’s scoring parade. Aaron Feltz and Brendan Luthart both netted 3 for the Mustangs as Mason Lewis had 2 and Greg Husung, Dylan Lewis and Charlie Enderby 1 each.

Sharing the shutout  Adam Cotter and Andrew Nichols each played a half in goal for Medina which improves to 7-6 on the season.

The Mustangs took control early roaring out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter as Pecoraro set the tone with a goal just 43 seconds in.

Cotter and Mason Lewis both netted 2 goals in the opening stanza as Husing and Feltz each tallied once.

The Medina advantage jumped to 11-0 at the half after second period goals by Feltz, Luthart, Pecoraro and Cotter.

The Mustangs led 16-0 at the three-quarter mark as Luthart tallied twice in the third period and Pecoraro, Dylan Lewis and Feltz one each.

Fourth period goals by Cotter, Pecoraro and Enderby then rounded out the scoring.

Cotter now has a team leading total of 43 goals on the season while Luthart has 19, Feltz 18 and Pecoraro 17.

Medina next visits Avon on Thursday in another non league contest.
