Medina stickmen roll past Gowanda
Exploding out to a 9-1 first quarter lead, Medina went on to defeat visiting Gowanda 16-3 this afternoon in a Class D Division lacrosse game.
Chaise Prest scored 3 goals, Christian Silversmith, Tom Vasquez and Jacob McEwen 2 and Mitchell Silversmith 1 for Medina in the decisive opening period.
The Mustangs went on to lead by margins of 14-2 and the half and 15-3 at the three-quarter mark.
Christian Silversmith finished with 4 goals, Prest 3, Vasquez, Mitchell Silversmith, McEwen and Mark Reigle 2 and Zach Blount 1.
Now at 2-1 in the division and 3-4 overall, Medina next visits division leading Salamanca at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
