Medina stickmen open playoffs today
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Medina’s Zaric Boyce and his Mustang teammates will visit Akron this afternoon to open the Section VI Class D playoffs.
Seeded No. 6 Medina will visit No. 3 Akron at 5 p.m. today in the quarterfinal round of the Section VI Class D lacrosse playoffs.
The Mustangs lost to the Tigers 14-1 this past week in the regular season finale.
Medina brings a 5-5 division record into the playoffs while Akron is 7-3.
The Medina vs. Akron winner will visit No. 2 Eden (8-2) in the semifinals on Tuesday.
Today’s other semifinal will have No. 5 Gowanda (5-5) and No. 4 Depew (7-3). The victor will visit top seeded Salamanca (9-1) on Tuesday in the semifinals.
