Medina stickmen nip Newark for first win

Getting goal production from five players, Medina snapped a season opening two game losing streak by edging past host Newark 9-8 today in a non league lacrosse game.

Mitchell Silversmith scored 4 goals and Jacob McEwen 2 for the Mustangs as Christian Silversmith, Cayden Lilleby and Chase Prest each chipped in with one.

Fourth period goals by Mitchell Silversmith and Prest provided the margin of victory earning new Mustangs Coach Todd Eick his first win.

Medina next travels to Brockport at 5 p.m. Tuesday in a non league contest and then visits Wilson at 5 p.m. Wednesday for a Class D Division game.
