Medina stickmen earn All-Star honors

Five Medina High lacrosse players have been named to the first team of the Section VI Class D Division All-Star squad.
That quintet includes midfielders Mason Lewis, Brendan Luthart and DaRon Bellan along with attacker Christian Silversmith and long stick middie/defender Ian Joseph. All are seniors except Silversmith who is a junior.
Lewis and Luthart are both repeat honorees.
Silversmith had 59 goals on the season, Luthart 55, Lewis 50, Bellan 14 and Joseph 8. Luthart also had 45 assists and Lewis 38.
The Mustangs also had senior Luke Wilson and junior Blaire Prest, both defenders, earn spots on the second team.
In addition, sophomore defender Bobby Geiger and freshman attacker Zach Blount both received Honorable Mention.
Medina Coach Gordy Luthart was also honored by being named D Division Coach of the Year.
