Medina Stallions post key youth football win

The Medina Stallions nipped the host Batavia Bulldawgs 14-12 Saturday in a key regular season ending Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) Varsity Division game.

The Stallions get two touchdowns on passes from Xander Payne to Izell Satkowski, one of 48 yards and the other 23 yards.  Payne also ran for one extra point and passed to Trenton Muck for the other.

Defensively, the got a solid effort from the defensive tackle rotation of Davon Shine, Brandon Collins, Trey Skinner, Chloe Brege, Chad Wolter and Robert Arnold.  The Stallions also got an interception from Rashawn Bloom and then a huge pass break up on 4th and goal in the final minute to preserve the win by Bloom as well.  Izell Satkowski, Colvin Stalker, Noah Skinner, Zack Oliver and Lavonn Guy also helped to stop Batavia’s running game.

Medina scored on touchdown passes from Cole Callard to Amari Soule and Brandon Christiaansen.  Amari Soule finished off the game late with a pick 6 for the final score.
