Medina spikers down rival Albion

Medina (2-8) defeated visiting Albion (2-8) 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 25-21 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match.

Jordan Lugo served up points 12-16 and Ianah Drisdom 21-23 in the decisive fourth set for Medina..

Elle Gross had 8 kills and 7 aces, Devin Griffin 8 kills, Lugo 2 kills and 2 aces. Evie Schultz 12 assists, Drisdom 7 digs and Ayzha Pitts 5 digs for the Mustangs.

Akron, Wilson win to share title

In the other N-O matches Akron defeated Roy-Hart 22-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-18 and Wilson downed rival Newfane (2-8) 25-8, 25-17, 25-6 to finish the N-O season as co-champions at 9-1.

Ella Hill had 13 kills, Elsie Logan 4 aces and 32 assists and Madison Kaczmerck 9 kills and 4 blocks for Akron which has now won or shared the N-O title four years in a row..

Kendall 25-23-25-25, Lyndonville 13-25-10-13
Kendall downed Lyndonville 25-13, 23-25, 25-10, 25-13 n a Genesee Region League match.

For Kendall, Karlee Robb had 7 aces and 5 kills, Sara Mattle 14 aces, Brittney Marks 16 digs, 5 assists, 2 aces and 2 kills. Autumn Woodward 5 kills and 3 digs, and Madison Shonitsky  7 assists and 3 digs.

Byron-Bergen 25-25-25, Oakfield-Alabama 17-13-23

Undefeated Byron-Bergen (10-0, 12-0) bested Oakfield-Alabama (9-3) 25-17, 25-13, 25-23 in another G-R match as Madison Farnsworth had 12 kills and 3 aces, Abby Vurraro 7 aces and Amaya Gunther 6 aces.
