Medina spikers defeat Newfane

Moving back above the .500 mark at 3-2, Medina defeated visiting Newfane 25-20, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match.
Megan O’Keefe served up points 21-24 in the decisive fourth set and Molley Gross registered a spike kill for the 25th point to help Medina close out the win.
O’Keefe had 35 digs on the evening and Emily Kams 21 assists.
At the net, Gross had 8 spiking kills, Carley Schultz 7 and Je’ne Brown 6. Gross, Brown and Kams also each had 3 blocks.
The loss drops Newfane to 1-4.

Emma Okoniewski and Amanda Culverwell both had 5 kills, Serina Jaeger 7 assists and Haylea Day 13 service points in the third set to lead Wilson past CSAT 24-8, 25-10, 25-4.
Wilson is now 2-2 and CSAT 0-5.

Aspen Moore had 5 kills and Bea Bacon 4 kills for Roy-Hart in the four set loss to Akron.
Akron improves to 3-1 and Roy-Hart slips to 2-2.
