Medina spikers complete sweep of Wilson
Completing a home and home season series sweep Medina scored a straight set 25-19, 25-12, 25-14 win over host Wilson in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match this evening.
Ki’Mani Poole and Phallon Rivera both had 3 spiking kills for Medina as Hailey Wilkins, Maddy Rutledge and Addison Paul each had 2 and Destiny Richardson and Kylie Poynter 1. Lorelei Sanders added 4 aces and 6 assists.
Medina is now 2-5 and Wilson 0-6.
Frontrunning Akron (7-0) increased its N-O lead by posting a come-from-behind 23-25, 25-19, 25-12, 25-23 win over runner-up Newfane (5-2).
In the other N-O match, Roy-Hart (4-3) scored a come-from-behind five set 25-22, 18-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-7 win at Albion (2-4).
In a Genesee Region League match Notre Dame bested Lyndonville 25-18, 27-29, 25-13, 25-22.
For Lyndonville, Ashlee Stephens had 15 assists and 10 digs, Lorelei Dillenbeck 8 kills and 9 digs, Addison Dillenbeck 12 kills and 6 digs and Hailey Shaffer 14 digs.
