Medina, Shelby firefighters delivered baby last night
MEDINA – Firefighters from Medina and Shelby worked together last night in delivering a healthy baby boy.
Firefighters were dispatched at 12:32 a.m. to Salt Works Road. A woman was in labor. The baby was born at 12:40 a.m.
Medina Firefighters Michael Young and Ashton Lang responded with an ambulance, with a crew from Shelby assisting in the delivering.
“Both Mom and Baby are doing great,” the Medina Fire Department posted on its Facebook page. “Happy Birthday, baby boy! We would like to offer congratulations to the family and our thanks to the crews from both departments for a great job done.”
This is the third time in five years the Medina FD has delivered a baby, and Michael Young has been on all of the calls.
