Seeded No. 3 in Class B2, Medina earned that elusive first ever sectional title by nipping No. 2 Fredonia 1-0 in the semifinals and No. 1 Eden 5-4 in the finals last week.  Top seeded Depew claimed the B1 title with a 2-0 win over No. 2 Alden.

Medina, which also ended a 12 year drought by capturing a one-third share of the Niagara-Orleans League championship, brings a 13-4 record into the state qualifier contest.
