Medina scores links win over Albion
Improving to 4-1, Medina defeated Albion 222-233 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League golf match at Hickory Ridge.
Ian Wagner took medalist honors with a 33 for Medina as Mike Cardone added a 41.
Nick Penna shot 37 and Patrick Ricker 40 for Albion, which is now 2-3.
In the other N-O matches, Roy-Hart defeated Newfane 229-252 as Justin Czajka shot a 44 and defending champion Wilson registered a school course record score of 199 for the second straight match in a win over Barker as Nate Fox shot a 37 and Connor Seeley a 38.
Wilson is now 5-0, Barker 3-1, Roy-Hart 3-2 and Newfane 0-5.
In girls golf, Medina’s Melanie Green earned medalist honors in a pair of Erie County League (ECIC) matches over the past two days at Audubon in Amherst. She shot a 33 on Thursday and a 35 today.
