Medina, Roy-Hart post N-O soccer road wins

Medina and Roy-Hart both scored victories on the road this evening in Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer competition.

Medina blanked Wilson 2-0 to improve to 1-1 and Roy-Hart downed Albion 5-1  to go to 2-0.

Jackson Moreland scored what proved to be the game winner for Medina in the second half. Cole Callard later added the second tally with just a second to go off an assist from Jason Beyer.

Brady Christiaansen earned the shutout in goal.

Four different players contributed goals for Roy-Hart as Peter Martillotta netted two and Jayden Swygret, Ethan Kuzma and Rem Albee each had one.

David Rosario scored Albion’s goal.

In the other N-O contest, Akron (1-0-1) defeated Newfane (0-2) 12-2.

N-O Girls Soccer
Akron 6, Albion 0
Katie Leeds scored 3 goals, Olivia Novak 2 and Gravie Leiker 1 for Akron (2-1) in the 6-0 win over visiting Albion (0-3).

N-O Volleyball
Akron downed Albion 25-19, 25-11, 25-15 in an N-O League match.

Roy-Hart’s Rem Albee battles with Albion’s Pablo Rosario-Reyes for control of the ball.
