Medina rolls to 10th field hockey victory

Medina notched field hockey victory No. 10 on the season by blanking Buffalo Seminary 5-0 this afternoon in a non league game at Vets Park.

The Mustangs jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half on goals by Abi Neuman and Lacey Kenward.

Two goals by Libby Cook and one by Mary Flores in the second half capped off the win as Medina completed the sweep of a home-and-home season series over Buffalo Seminary.

Medina, which caps off the regular season with a Niagara-Orleans League contest at Wilson on Tuesday, improves to 10-5 overall (6-5 in N-O games).

Kendall romped to a three set victory over Rochester Academy Charter 25-2, 25-7, 25-20 in a non league volleyball match.

Kelly Mayes had 5 kills and went 12 of 12 from the service line with 8 aces for Kendall as Brittney Marks had 7 assists, 5 aces and 2 digs, Harley Faro 5 aces, Jenna Regan 4 aces, Anna Oakley 3 aces and Olivia Caldwell 2 aces.

In another non league match, Northstar defeated visiting Lyndonville 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.
