Medina returns veteran laden lineup
A year ago with only one senior in the starting lineup Medina struggled through a 1-13 Niagara-Orleans League learning campaign. Now, with seven of their top eight players returning the Mustangs are looking for a rebound season.
Seniors Nicole Blount, Brittany Button and Emma Ambrose head that veteran group which also includes sophomores Emily Kams, Molley Gross, Maddie Winters and Rowan Hamner.
The Mustangs only starter lost to graduation was guard Taylor Miller.
“They all have a year of varsity experience under their belts and that makes a big difference,” said Coach Ken Haak. “The keys for us will be ball control, limiting turnovers and take advantage of our scoring opportunities. We have to match our skill level with our intensity level.”
The Mustangs will begin tuning up for the December 19 N-O home opener against Newfane by hosting Pembroke on December 8.
