Medina, R-H, Barker score N-O softball wins
Medina rallied in the final inning to nip visiting Akron 10-9 in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park this afternoon.
Hits by Faith Oberther, Rylee VanNostrand and Gianna Greco helped to plate the winning run in the bottom of the seventh for Medina.
The Mustangs got back into the game by erupting for 5 runs in the sixth inning as Lily Carpenter, Fike, Greco, VanNostrand and Regan Timmer had hits.
Roy-Hart 9, Wilson 5
Front-running Roy-Hart improved to 9-0 by downing visiting Wilson 9-5.
Reanna Perkins belted a pair of two run hoemrs and Jilianna Buscarino and Molly Russell both had triples to lead the offense for Roy-Hart.
In the circle, Perkins scattered 6 hits and struck out 15.
Barker 29, Newfane 14
Natalie Brandel and Rachel Sutter both had 4 hits, Lilly Monthony 3 and Mia Herman 2 including a home run to pace Barker past Newfane 29-14.
Barker is now 5-2 and Newfane 1-8.
