Medina posts key net win over Wilson

Maintaining sole possession of first place, defending champion Medina downed visiting Wilson 3 1/2-2 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.

The victory keeps the Mustangs perfect at 5-0 while the Lakemen slip to 3-2.

Medina swept the three doubles matches on wins by the duos of Ray Paull-Toby Kiebala, 6-0, 6-3 over Joey Moote-Max Faery; Able Zavitz-Andrew Fuller, 6-3, 6-3 over Mia Olear-Rebecca Connors and Brandon Harris-Kody Leno, 6-3, 6-2 over Gabe Greca-Georgia Gray.

The Mustangs also got a win at second singles a Nick Bogan downed Mike Pazik 6-2, 6-1.

Wilson won the first singles as Kayla Lyon downed Mike Cardone 6-3, 7-5 and third singles as Alex Courturier best Kayla Leno 2-6, 6-4, 6-1.

Holley 5, Pembroke 0
Holley improved to 3-1 in Genesee Region League competition with a 5-0 win over Pembroke.

Straight set wins by the singles trio of Derek McArthur, Tyler Hill and Dylan McKay led the way for Holley.

The Hawks also got wins from the doubles teams of Cheyan Palmer-Aaron Strathearn and Dalton Thurley-Steven Morgan.
