Medina, Barker score field hockey wins

Medina edged past Wilson 2-1 at Vets Park this evening to finish the Niagara-Orleans League season in second place at 8-3-1.

Lacey Kenward scored the Mustangs winning goal in the second half off an assist from Hannah Kenward.

The teams played to a 1-1 tie in the first half as Emilee Muoio scored for Wilson and Lacey Kenward answered with a tally for Medina.

Wilson finishes the N-O season at 4-6-2.

Barker 2, Roy-Hart 0
Barker capped off a 12-0 Niagara-Orleans League field hockey championship season with a 2-0 win over Roy-Hart (6-4-2) this afternoon played at Williamsville East.

Both Barker goals came in the first half as Serena Harris scored off an assist from Katrina Clare and Natalie Bruning talked from Rachel Hurtgam.

The N-O title season is the third straight for Barker and the 16h in the last 20 years.
