Medina netters post win over Akron

Staying unbeaten at 4-0, Medina trimmed visiting Akron 3 1/2-2 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.
Medina took the first singles match as Kristian Snyder downed Tyler Kelly 6-1, 6-0 and also swept the three doubles matches.
The Mustangs had Nick Dieter and Michael Cardone defeat Brandon Meek and Dan Bilecki 7-5, 6-0 at first doubles; Brandon Harris and Xion Baes best Cierra Janis and Jacob Meyer 7-6, 6-2 at second double and Tom Horgan and Austin Owens down Morgan Cooper and Erica Papke 7-5, 6-2 at third doubles.
Akron, which is now 2-2, took the second singles as Ryan Meek downed Tristan Sanders 6-4, 6-0 and the third singles as Nathan Chubb edged Brian Bogan 7-5, 6-4.
