Medina netters edge past Newfane; Albion, Akron and Holley net wins

Medina trimmed host Newfane 3-2 1/2 this afternoon to improve to 5-1 in Niagara-Orleans League tennis competition.

Ray Paull won at second singles and Toby Kiebala at third singles for the Mustangs which also took the first doubles match with a victory by the duo of Kody Leno and Andrew Houseman.

Albion 5 1/2, Barker 0
Singles wins by the trio of Matthew Kovaleski, Victor Benjovsky and Elliot Neidert led the way as Albion blanked Barker 5 1/2-0.

Improving to 6-3, the Purple Eagles also got wins from the doubles teams of Nate Smith-Chase Froman, Carson Bader-Hailey Bader and Josh Riley-Matt Rowcliffe.

The loss drops Barker to 0-9.

Akron 3, Roy-Hart 2 1/2
Staying perfect at 8-0, Akron trimmed Roy-Hart (6-3) 3-2 1/2.

The Tigers got wins from Nate Chubb at first singles, Will Chubb at third singles and by the first doubles duo of Morgan Wdowka-Skyler Earle.

Madigan Lang won at second singles for Roy-Hart which also got doubles wins from the teams of Mason Collins-Caleb Reith and Kayla Hagen-Kody Hayes.

Holley 4, Attica 1
Holley downed Attica 4-1 in a Genesee Region League match led by victories by Aaron Strathearn at first singles and Cheyan Palmer at second singles.

The Hawks also got wins from the doubles teams of Dalton Thurley-Steven Morgan and Eli Bibby Austin Berns
