Medina netters down Newfane
Medina defeated visiting Newfane 5-1/2 and defending champion Akron downed Albion 4 1/2-1 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League tennis action.
Ray Paull, Haylee Seeefeldt and Andrew Houseman all scored singles wins for Medina which also got doubles victories from the teams of Kody Lenno-Jonathan Pietrafesa and Carter Green-Ben Zakes.
Medina is now 2-0 and Newfane 0-1.
A sweep of the three singles matches by Nate Chubb, Will Chubb and Morgan Wdowka sparked Akron past Albion.
Albion took the second doubles with Andrew Caldwell and Katelynn Spierdowis.
Akron is now 3-0 and Albion 1-1.
In the Genesee Region League, Byron-Bergen defeated Holley 4-1. The Hawks lone point was earned by the doubles team of Erik Balys and Kory Puente
