Medina nets win over Barker
Holley trims Oakfield-Alabama
Improving to 4-0, Medina blanked visiting Barker 5 1/2-0 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League tennis match.
Straight set wins by the singles trio of Kristian Snyder (6-1, 6-0 over Nick Fazzolari), Tristan Sanders (6-0, 6-2 over Andrew Jenks) and Brandon Harris (6-1, 6-2 over Alexander Israel) led by way for Medina.
The Mustangs also got 6-0, 6-0 wins by the doubles teams of Kyla Leno-Mike Cardone, Nick Bogan-Ray Paull and Able Zavitz-Vassilios Bitsas.
Holley 3, Oakfield-Alabama 2
Holley edged past Oakfield-Alabama 3-2 to improve to 2-1 in Genesee Region League action.
A win by Pablo Romero at second singles provided the margin of victory for Holley.
The Hawks also got wins by Brady Smith at first singles and by the second doubles team of Derek McArthur-Jake DeSimone.
On Thursday, Holley blanked Pembroke 5-0 on singles wins by Brady, Romero and Cameron Bennage along with victories by the doubles teams of Gabe Mendoza-Melanie Klossner and McArthur-DeSimone.
In one other G-R match, Alexander defeated Kendall 4-1.
Collin Lewis scored a three set win at first singles for Kendall.
