Medina Mustangs FC evens score with Cosmos

Avenging an earlier season 2-1 road loss, the Medina Mustangs FC shutout the Buffalo Cosmos 2-0 in a Buffalo District Soccer League 2nd Division game Sunday evening at Vets Park.
Medina took a 1-0 lead late in the first half as Nate Dillenbeck scored off an assist from Greg Husung.
Casey Winiecki added a big insurance goal for the Mustangs in the second half as Steven Anderson earned the assist.
Tyler Ribbeck earned the shutout in goal. He and his Mustang defensive mates turned back several Cosmos direct kick opportunities in the second half to preserve the shutout.
The Mustangs and Cosmos are now both 3-2 on the season.
Medina next hosts the LaSalle FC at 6 p.m. Sunday at Vets Park.
