Putting together a clutch last ditch rally, Medina scored twice in the bottom of the seventh inning to edge past visiting Somerset 4-3 this evening in a Lockport Midget B League game.

Back-to-back one out singles by Gage Grabowski and Hunter Sturtevant ignited Medina’s last ditch comeback. A fielders choice play off the bat of Brad McPherson then plated the tying run and Jared Zinkievich followed up with a single to drive in the game winner.

Earlier, Medina had scored once in the second inning on a double by Tyler Howard and RB single by Ethan Kujawa to knot the contest at 2-2. However, Medina managed just one more hit until the bats got hot again in the seventh.

Somerset scored two quick runs in the first inning on n error and a wild pitch and later regained a 3-2 lead by scoring once in the sixth on an RBI single by Preston Harris.

Quinton Adkins and Zinkievich shared the pitching duties for Medina which evens its record at 1-1.
