Medina Marching Band earns 1st place at Oswego

OSWEGO – The Medina Mustang Marching Band competed for the third time this season when they traveled to Oswego on Saturday. It was a beautiful fall day and 12 bands were there to show their marching and musical skills.

In the SS1 category there were 5 bands competing and Medina earned 1st place with a score of 84.65 followed by East Syracuse-Minoa at 82.1, East Irondequoit with 80.8, Oswego at 80.15 and Central Square in fifth with 79.8.

Other competitors were Auburn in LS3 with a score of 70.85. The SS2 classification had four competitors with Phoenix taking 1st  place at 78.6. There were two other bands in LS2 and Webster earned 1st place with 82.1.

Medina will compete in three more shows before heading to the Dome in Syracuse on Oct. 31.  Their next competition on Oct. 9 is in Webster.
