Rebounding from an early 1-0 deficit, Medina/Lyndonville rallied to edge past host Holley 2-1 this evening in a non league boys soccer game.

Holley took a quick lead in the first four minutes on a goal by Gabe Mendoza.

Medina/Lyndonville though answered back with the tying goal 10 minutes later as Steven Anderson scored his eighth of the season off an assist from Colm Cooper.

The Mustangs then got what proved to be the game winner when Brian Anderson tallied his seventh goal of the campaign, off an assist from James Ianni, with 22 minutes to go in the first half.

The Mustangs then turned back a strong Holley comeback bid over the final 15 minutes of the second half as Tyler Ames came up with several big saves in goal. Austin Owens also had a couple of big saves in goal in the first half for the Mustangs.

Medina/Lyndonville, which next hosts Roy-Hart in a key Niagara-Orleans League game Tuesday, improves to 5-2 while Holley slips to 5-2-1.
