Medina/Lyndonville sweeps Roy-Hart

Medina/Lyndonville closed out the Niagara-Orleans League track season with a sweep over host Roy-Hart this afternoon.

The Medina/Lyndonville boys squad capped off a 5-1 N-O season with a 100-40 victory.

The Medina/Lyndonville girls squad completed the sweep by posting a 92-40 victory to finish the season at 3-3.

Dalton Cerbone doubled in the 1600 (4:58.4) and 3200 (10:48.8) and Charles Beach in the shot-put (33-6) and discus (102-1.5) to lead the Medina/Lyndonville boys squad.

The Mustangs also had Barry Rogenmoser win the long jump (18-2.5), James Soha the 400 hurdles (1:05.9), Anthony Pane the 800 (2:16.1) and Chase Pecoraro the pole vault (10-0).

Medina/Lyndonville also took the 3200 relay with Patrick Roberts, Austin Heil, Cerbone and Pane (9:07.6) and the 400 relay with Rogenmoser, Matt Cochrane, Scott Barber and Sam Sims (:47.4).

Ben Werth doubled for Roy-Hart in the 400 (:55.7) and triple jump (36-9).

The Rams also got wins from Kyle Shanahan in the 110 hurdles (:17.3), Hans Johnson in the 100 (:12.6), Alex Stoddard in the high jump (6-0) and Colton Spicer in the 200 (:25.2).

Holly Heil was a triple winner for the Medina/Lyndonville girls squad in the 400 (1:04.3), 800 (2:29.9) and 1500 (5:15.5).

The Mustangs also had Leann Balcerzak win the pole vault (7-0), Rowan Hamner the 100 (:14.4), Molley Gross the discus (68-2.5), Emma Gardner the shot-put (24-9) and Martha Gardner the 3000 (12:30.2).

The Mustangs also took the 3200 relay with Martha Gardner, Elizabeth Newman, Morgan Roach and Heil, the 1600 relay with Roach, Hannah Adams, Madeline Winters and Newman (4:49.5) and the 400 relay with Jene Brown, Winters, Hamner and Wilson (:55.3).

Amber Villella doubled in the 200 (:30.0) and triple jump (30-2) for Roy-Hart which also had Emma Lindke win the 100 hurdles and Kaleigh Kuzma the 400 hurdles (1:16.7).

Barker sweeps Newfane

The Barker boys completed a fourth straight perfect 6-0 N-O championship season by defeating visiting Newfane 92-40.

Jacob Haight doubled in the long jump and high jump, Sergio Cruz in the 1600 and 3200 and Casey Webb in the 400 and 800 to lead the Raiders.

Katrell Jackson doubled in the 100 and triple jump for Newfane.

The Barker girls completed the sweep by defeating Newfane 84-52 to finish at 4-2.

Final N-O Boys Standings: Barker 6-0, Medina 5-1, Newfane 3-3, Wilson 3-3, Albion 2-4, Roy-Hart 2-4, Akron 0-6.

Final N-O Girls Standings: Akron 6-0, Albion 5-1, Barker 4-2, Medina 3-3, Wilson 2-4, Newfane 1-5, Roy-Hart 0-6.

Golf

Kendall 228, Pembroke 270
Kendall defeated Pembroke 228-270 this afternoon in a Genesee Region League makeup golf match.

Jacob Adams led Kendall with a 40.

Lyndonville’s Patrick Hinkson fired a round of 38.
