Medina, Lyndonville, Roy-Hart to host sectional games tonight

Medina, Lyndonville and Roy-Hart will all host sectional quarterfinal round boys basketball playoff games at 7 this evening.

Seeded No. 2 Medina will host Niagara-Orleans League foe No. 10 CSAT in a Section VI Class B1 contest.

The playoff game will be the third in as many nights for CSAT which nipped No. 15 Eden 54-51 on Wednesday and then upended No. 7 Albion 71-59 Thursday.

Medina swept a pair of games from CSAT during the N-O season. The Mustangs edged past the Eagles 69-60 at home and then romped to a 58-32 win on the CSAT court in the regular season finale.

No. 2 Roy-Hart will host No. 7 MST Seneca of Buffalo in a Section VI Class B2 game.

No. 3 Lyndonville will host No. 6 C.G. Finney in a Section V Class D1 contest.

Lyndonville, which is 17-4 on the season, advanced by downing No. 14 Hammondsport 78-53 on Wednesday while C.G. Finney ousted No. 11 Honeoye 63-43.

In girls playoff competition on Saturday, No. 9 Kendall will visit top seeded South Seneca in a Section V Class C2 quarterfinal contest at 2 p.m.
