Medina, Lyndonville, Holley post softball wins
Medina rolled to a 19-1 victory over Albion at Vets Park this afternoon to improve to 9-2 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.
Ryenn Oliver banged out a pair of triples as Abby Neuman, Lacey Kenward and Morgan Allis each had a double to lead the Medina attack.
Sierra Newton singled in Albion’s run.
The loss drops the Purple Eagles to 4-7.
Barker 12, Wilson 11
Barker pushed across a run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a two out single by Kylie Miller to nip Wilson 12-11.
Wilson did gain a split on the day by downing Barker 7-3 in the completion of a suspended game.
Lyndonville 29, Wheatland-Chili 11
Two home runs by Anna Lewis and one by Stacy Buckland highlighted the attack for Lyndonville in the 29-11 romp over host Wheatland-Chili in a Genesee Region League game.
Megan Krisher had 5 hits and Ella Lewis 4 for the Lady Tigers.
Anna Lewis drove in a total of 5 runs and Krisher and Buckland 4 each.
Holley 10, Byron-Bergen 9
Holley pushed across a run in the seventh inning on a hit by Jocelyn Chilton to nip Byron-Bergen 10-9 in a G-R contest.
Winning pitcher Kassandra Norman had 3 hits and Madison Papaj 2 for the Lady Hawks.
In the circle, Norman struck out 7 including 3 in the seventh inning.
HAC also downed Kendall 10-5.
