Medina/Lyndonville coach, player honored at Section VI soccer banquet

Coach Steve Luksch and senior forward Steven Anderson, who helped lead Medina/Lyndonville to the Niagara-Orleans League title this fall, both received major honors Wednesday night at the first annual Section VI Boys and Girls Soccer Awards Banquet.
Luksch, who guided Medina/Lyndonvile to a 9-2-1 N-O championship record was named N-O Coach of the Year. Luksch is in his ninth year at the helm, the first six of which were as Medina varsity coach and the last three as mentor of the merged Medina/Lyndonville squad.
Anderson, a two-year first team N-O All-League honoree, earned the N-O Player of the Year and first team All-Western New York Small Schools honors. He had 11 goals and 7 assists this past season for the Mustangs.
