Medina/Lyndonville booters face key title deciding test at Roy-Hart this week

Medina/Lyndonville will be looking to claim the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer title when the Mustangs visit Roy-Hart in the league finale Thursday.
Currently at 8-2-1 after a key 3-0 victory over defending champion Akron Saturday, Medina/Lyndonville holds a narrow lead over both Wilson (7-3) and Newfane (6-3-1).
The N-O field hockey championship will also be determined Thursday as undefeated (9-0) defending champion Barker visiting once beaten (8-1) Akron. The Lady Raiders nipped the Lady Tigers 1-0 in their earlier meeting.
Friday’s gridiron action will feature the renewal of the Albion vs. Medina rivalry at Vets Park in a contest that not only has the “Doc’s Rock” Trophy but also a possible sectional playoff berth on the line. The Purple Eagles and Mustangs will enter the contest with identical 3-2 B North Division (4-2 overall) records.
