Pulling away in the second half, Medina/Lyndonville bested Wilson 4-0 this afternoon at Vets Park to maintain sole possession of the Niagara-Orleans League soccer lead.

Medina/Lyndonville grabbed an early 1-0 lead as Kristian Snyder scored what proved to be the game winner just nine minutes in off an assist from James Ianni.

It remained a tight 1-0 game until 10 minutes into the second half when Aaron Feltz scored off an assist from Vassilios Bitsas to give the Mustangs a little breathing room.

Medina/Lyndonville then capped off the victory with a pair of goals in the final 10 minutes as Brian Anderson scored from Feltz and Steven Anderson tallied on a header off a throw-in by Ianni.

“They are playing very well right now,” said Medina/Lyndonville coach Steve Luksch whose Mustangs improve to 7-1 in N-O action.

The loss drops Wilson two games off the pace at 6-3.
