Medina/Lyndonville blanks CCA
Regaining the .500 mark at 2-2, Medina/Lyndonville blanked CCA 3-0 this afternoon in a non league boys soccer game at Lyndonville.
The Mustangs grabbed a quick lead as Kody Leno scored just four minutes in off an assist from Nate Dillenbeck.
Noah Heinsler upped the lead to 2-0 when he scored just before halftime as Andrew Houseman earned the assist.
Dillenbeck rounded out the scoring with a second half goal assisted by Jon Slingerland.
Ray Paull earned the shutout in goal as Evan Horn, Jack Whipple and Devin Rounds anchored the defense.
In other non league games, Holley tied 2-2 at Batavia and Albion dropped a 3-1 decision at Livonia.
Holley jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half as Kayden Servais scored from Matt Wilson and Cole Morgan tallied from Servais but the Hawks could not hold the advantage.
Kendyll Hadick netted Albion’s lone goal off an assist from Angel Rosario as the Purple Eagles were unable to bounce back from a 3-0 deficit.
In a Genesee Region League game, Wheatland-Chili trimmed host Kendall 2-1. Nick Richardson netted the Eagles lone goal.
