Medina/Lyndonville bests Albion

A quick goal in the opening seconds ignited Medina/Lyndonville to a 3-1 victory over Albion at Vets Park this afternoon keeping the Mustangs in sole possession of the Niagara-Orleans League lead at 6-1.

Brian Anderson scored the three goal hat-trick to spearhead the attack for Medina/Lyndonville which next hosts Wilson on Thursday.

Wilson took over sole possession of second place at 6-2 with a 2-1 win over rival Newfane (5-3) on a pair of second half goals by Cesar Carlin.

Brian Anderson gave Medina/Lyndonville the lead for good with a goal just 20 seconds into the contest off an assist from Steven Anderson.

It remained a tight 1-0 game until early in the second half when Brian Anderson scored from Aaron Feltz at 33:42.

The Mustangs advantage jumped to 3-0 when Brian Anderson completed his hat-trick by scoring again with 16 minutes to go.

Marcos Sanchez scored Albion’s goal with 4:49 remaining off an assist from Cam Usselman.

The loss drops Albion to 2-6.

Roy-Hart 4, CSAT 3 OT
Overtime games are becoming the norm this season for Roy-Hart and today’s contest at CSAT was no exception as the Rams got a goal from Bailey Hudson in the first extra period to claim a 4-3 victory and improve to 4-3 in N-O competition.

Colton Spicer also had two goals and James DeLorenzo one for the Rams.

CSAT slips to 0-7.
