The Medina Lacrosse Club is doubling the number of teams it will have competing in a house league based in Lancaster this summer.

Medina will be fielding teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U divisions after only having 12U and 16U squads a year ago.

“The response has been tremendous,” said Medina High varsity lacrosse Coach Gordy Luthart who is organizing the local club. “We hope to have 60 kids playing lacrosse this summer.

Practice for the Medina teams will begin in early June with the four week league season running from late June to late July. Each team will have four home and four away games during the season.

The league also includes teams from Wilson, Lockport, Lancaster, Niagara-Wheatfield and North Tonawanda.

More information on the league, including registration details, can be found on the Medina Lacrosse Club Facebook page.
