Medina, Kendall spikers post wins

Improving to 7-4, Medina bested visiting Newfane 25-15, 25-20, 15-25, 25-15 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match.

Nicole Blount served up the final seven points in a row in the fourth set to close out the match for the Mustangs.

Blount and Brittany Schultz both had six kills on the night to lead Medina at the net.

Megan O’Keefe had 23 digs, Emma Ambrose 20 and Molley Gross 17 for the Mustangs.

Erica Wright had 19 digs and 12 kills for Newfane which slips to to 6-5.

Sarah Pearson had 15 service points including nine aces, 3 kills, 2 digs and 2 assists; Alexis Payton 13 points including 10 aces and 2 digs and Abby Horst 7 aces and 3 kills to spark Kendall to the straight set non league victory over visiting Charlotte of Rochester.

Roy-Hart 25-17-25-24-21

Henrietta Jones had 13 kills and 8 blocks, Emily Hoemer 12 blocks and Taylor Jonathan 6 kills, 2 aces and 14 digs to lead Akron to the five set win over Roy-Hart.

Sara Meal had 11 kills, Bea Bacon 7 and Malissa Maines, Rebecca Albrecht and Olivia Vorholzer 4 each for Roy-Hart.

Akron is now 4-6 and Roy-Hart 2-8.
