Medina JV gridders down Alden
The Medina JV football team wrapped up division play a perfect 5-0 by defeating Alden 32-12 this morning at Vets Park.
The Mustangs used a big 24-0 first quarter to grab the momentum with all three touchdowns coming on passes from Jarin Rhim to Tyler Chinn.
Rhim finished the day with 215 passing yards and Chinn 133 receiving yards.
The Mustangs additional touchdown came in the fourth quarter on a one yard run by Bobby Geiger after an interception and 47 yard return by Chinn gave the Mustangs the ball on Alden’s one yard line.
Geiger finished the day with 99 rushing yards.
Christian Drisdom added two two-point conversions, while Geiger and Colby Petrie added one each as the Mustangs went a perfect 4-4 on conversions.
Defensively Petrie led with 7 tackles. Jacob Golding added 6, while Mario Fidanza and Lincoln Pace each made 5.
Now 5-1 overall, the JV Mustangs next face 6-0 Albion at Vets Park next Saturday at 10 a.m.
