Medina’s Zach Fike had a strong outing for the New York team over the weekend at a PBR (Prep Baseball Report) Jr. Futures Games tourney held at Westfield Indiana.

Fike, who will be a freshman at Medina high this fall, hurled a complete game shutout in leading New York to a 4-0 victory over Arizona.

Gavyn Boyle, who will be a freshman at Roy-Hart this fall, was also on the New York squad which went 2-2 in pool play at the tourney.

New York also defeated Florida 9-6 but lost to Kentucky and Illinois.

Fike and Boyle were both varsity starters for Medina and Roy-Hart this past spring.
