Four Medina and two Holley players receive All State football honors
Four Medina and two Holley players have earned All State football honors.
In Class C, Medina has placed senior defensive lineman Brody Fry on the first team, junior running back Christian Moss and junior defensive back Kolton Fletcher on the second team and senior kicker Cole Callard on the third team.
Fry led Medina in tackles with 143 including 93 solo. He also had 2 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and an interception.
Moss led the Mustangs ground attack with 1,850 yards rushing and 25 touchdowns. He also caught 11 passes for 202 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Fletcher made 60 tackles and had 4 interceptions and 3 fumble recoveries. On offense, he caught 14 passes for 249 yards and 2 touchdowns and rushed for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Callard was near perfect in the kicking department as he made good on 48 of 50 extra point attempts and on 6 of 7 field goal tries with the longest being from 42 yards. He was also recently named to the All State soccer squad after he scored a school record 44 goals this past season and finished his varsity career with a school record 98 goals.
Holley’s senior passing combination of quarterback Destin Kuyal and receiver Vinny Golisano has earned Honorable Mention on the All State 8 Man squad.
Kuyal passed for 1,380 yards and 27 touchdowns and also ran for 8 touchdowns. Golisano had 980 yards receiving and 19 touchdowns.
Akron senior lineman Alex Schrock has been named to the Class C first team and senior linebacker Brayden Lamont to the second team. Newfane senior linebacker Ayden Buttery has been named to the Class C third team.
Akron senior quarterback Coy Patterson and Newfane junior quarterback Mac Capen have both received Honorable Mention.
Pembroke has two 8 Man All-State first team selections in senior quarterback Caleb Felski and senior lineman Octavius Martin.
The Dragons also have two Honorable Mention selections in Jacob Johnson and Hayden Williams.
