Medina grad scores TD in Brockport win

Medina High graduate Jason Hellwig scored a touchdown for The College at Brockport in the Golden Eagles 56-7 season opening win over Hobart Saturday.
Playing some wildcat quarterback and some wide receiver, Hellwig, who is a junior, scored on a 2 yard touchdown run in the first quarter to put Brockport up 21-0.
He finished with 17 yards rushing, 8 yards receiving and 3 of 3 passing for 30 yards.
Roy-Hart graduate Salvatore Gioeli also cracked the two-deep lineup for his first career game. He is listed as second team at right guard.
