Medina grad helps RIT row to key win
A runner during his scholastic days at Medina High, Jack Hill is now having success collegiately as a member of the RIT rowing team’s No. 1 Varsity Eight boat.
This past Saturday Hill, who is a senior, helped row RIT to a key victory over rival University of Rochester.
His efforts helped RIT’s top boat post a winning time of 7:21.48 on Senior Day besting the U of R’s time of 7:47.56.
Hill, who ran cross-country during his first two years, at RIT, is majoring in Individualized Studies.
During his scholastic days at Medina Hill ran cross-country and was a distance runner and steeplechase competitor on the Mustangs track squad.
He earned first team Niagara-Orleans League honors in cross-country and was a top three finisher in the 3200 at the Section VI Division 2 (small schools) championships.
In the classroom he was the Salutatorian of his senior class.
