Medina grad has big day for NCCC

Medina High graduate Olivia Hermann banged out a total of five hits and drove in four runs today to help the Niagara County Community College softball team score a doubleheader sweep over Cayuga Community College by scores of 11-1 and 11-9.

Hermann went 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs and 3 stolen bases in the opener and then had two more hits an an RBI in the second contest.

Newfane grad Morgan Bedford also had 2 hits and an RBI in the second game.

NCCC is now 2-0 in the conference and 4-4 overall.

On the links, the NCCC golf team placed second at the NCCC Invitational held at Batavia Country Club as Akron grad Anthony Laurienzo shot an 85 and Barker grad Alonzo St. Louis a 103.
