Medina golfers win N-O tourney title

Medina captured top honors at the annual Niagara-Orleans All-League golf tournament held today at Willowbrook.

The Mustangs took the tourney title with 443 points.

Undefeated regular season leader Wilson finished in the runner-up spot with 467 to lock up the overall N-O season championship.

Roy-Hart finished third with a 486 total followed by Akron 489, Newfane 492, Barker 493, CSAT 532 and Albion 558.

Medina’s Ian Wagner won the individual title besting Wilson’s Conner Seeley in a playoff. Wagner and Seeley finished the regulation 18 holes tied with identical rounds of 79.

Medina’s Gage Masters finished in third place with an 87.

The Mustangs also had Hunter Sturtevant with a 91, Melanie Green 92 and Mike Cardone 94.

Wilson, which went 14-0 during the duel match portion of the season finished it’s championship campaign with a total of 34 points followed by Medina 31, Akron 21, Barker 19, Newfane 17, Roy-Hart 13, CSAT 3 and Albion 2.
