Medina golfers top Akron to grab N-O lead
Defending champion Medina posted a key 219-256 over Akron at Shelridge this afternoon to take over sole possession of the Niagara-Orleans golf league lead.
Ian Wagner took medalist honors for Medina which improves to 6-0-1.
Melanie Green added a 41 and Trevor Luthart and Aidan Paul both cared rounds of 46 for the Mustangs.
The loss drops runner-up Akron to 5-1-1.
In other N-O action, Albion improved to 4-3 by downing Roy-Hart 247-281 at Hickory Ridge as Patrick Ricker and Nick Perry shared medalist honors with rounds of 43.
Barker (3-4) also bested Newfane (1-6) 249-281 as Jake Harris earned medalist honors with a 41.
On Tuesday, Akron downed Albion 239-259 in a make up match.
