Medina golfers split in N-O tri match
Medina defeated Wilson 236-241 but lost to front-running Akron 219-236 in a Niagara-Orleans League golf tri-match this afternoon at Willowbrook.
Akron also defeated Wilson to improve to 11-0.
Medina is now 8-3 and Wilson 3-6-1.
Drew Romesser and River White both shot 42 to lead the way for Akron as Calvin Jonathan added a 43 and Kyle Swift and Jack Klodzinski 46s.
Medina’s Dylan Lonnen took medalist honors with a 41. Aiden Paul added a 42 and Zach Blount a 48 for the Mustangs.
Nathan Meyers shot 43, Evan Mahar 47 and Michael Bubar 48 for Wilson.
In the other tri match, Barker defeated Albion 238-273 and Roy-Hart 238-272. Albion split a pair of points with Roy-Hart.
Joel Harris took medalist honors with a 43 and Nathan Mazza-Ray had a 44 to lead Barker.
Nick Newton paced Albion with a 46.
Carter Green shot 45 and Brian Baes 46 for Roy-Hart.
Barker finishes the regular season at 5-6-1, Albion 1-10-1 and Roy-Hart 0-11-1.
