Medina golfers score twin bill sweep
Defending champion Medina downed Barker 225-261 and Roy-Hart 225-278 this afternoon in Niagara-Orleans League golf competition at Shelridge.
Aiden Paul took medalist honors with a 37 to lead Medina which improves to 4-2. Dylan Lonnen shot 43, Mitchell Silversmith 46 and Zach Blount 47 for the Mustangs.
Charlie LaGreen shot 47 and Joel Harris 48 for Barker while Carter Green had a 40 and McCarthy Lang a 49 for Roy-Hart.
Barker is now 1-2-1 and Roy-Hart 0-4.
Newfane moved into a tie with idle Akron for first place at 4-0 by downing Albion 243-255.
Sam Capen earned medalist honors with a 43 and Zach Murray shot 45 to pace Newfane.
Nick Newton and Chris Sacco both shot 47 for Albion which is 0-4.
