Medina golfers repeat as N-O champions

Medina earned first place honors at today’s annual All-League tournament to lock up a second straight Niagara-Orleans championship.

The Mustangs posted a score of 438 at Willowbrook followed by Akron 521, Barker 523, Wilson 535, Albion 585, Newfane 598 and Roy-Hart 606.

The Mustangs, which went 11-0-1 during the regular season, finish the season with 29 points followed by Akron 26, Wilson 19, Abion 14, Barker 12, Newfane 5 and Roy-Hart 0.

Medina’s Ian Wagner repeated as the tourney’s individual champion with a round of 72 to finish four shots ahead of his Mustangs teammate Melanie Green.

Barker’s Jake Harris shot 84, Medina’s Aiden Paul 89 and Albion’s Patrick Ricker 94 to round out the top five finishers.

In the girls tournament Wilson’s Lillie Sanborn finished first followed by the Roy-Hart duo of McCarthy Lang and Alison Davis.
