Medina golfers down Albion, bow to Akron

Medina earned a split in a Niagara-Orleans League golf tri-match this afternoon at DanDee Farms.

Medina defeated Albion 250-259 but lost to Akron 240-250.  Akron also downed Albion 240-259.

Aiden Paul took medalist honors with a 40 and Dylan Lonnen had a 45 to lead Medina while Trace Hill had a 46 for Akron and James Beach a 49 for Albion.

Akron stays unbeaten at 4-0 while Medina is 2-2 and Albion 0-3.

In other N-O action, Wilson trimmed Barker 257-258 and Newfane downed Wilson 224-265.

In the Wilson vs. Barker match Nathan Meyers took medalist honors for the Lakemen with a 42 and Joel Harris had a 48 for the Raiders.

In the Newfane vs. Wilson match Trevor Heschke earned medalist honors for the Panthers with a 40 as Sam Capen added a 41 and Zach Murray a 44. Meyers led the Lakemen with a 46.

Newfane improves to 3-0 while Barker is 1-1-1 and Wilson 1-2-1.

N-O action continues on Friday with Medina facing Roy-Hart and Barker at Shelridge and Albion hosting Newfane at Hickory Ridge.
