Medina girls win swim season opener

Medina downed visiting Pembroke 87-67 in a season opening non legue girls swim meet this afternoon.

Maddy Satkowski was a double winner in the 100 Freestyle and 200 Free and Maddy Rutledge took both the 50 Free and 100 Backstroke for Medina as Madeline Mark captured the 500 Free and Iyla Lilleby the 100 Butterfly.

Pembroke won the boys meet 96-47.

Caiden Class won both the 200 Free and 500 Free and Jackson Moreland took the 100 Backstroke for the Seahorses.

Medina visits Attica in another non league meet next Tuesday before visiting Albion for the Niagara-Orleans League opener on December 8.

Albion swept to a doubleheader victory over visiting Alexander.

Dallas Ecker was a double winner for the Purple Eagles in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke.

Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville won a tri-meet at home over Newfane and HAC.

In the boys’ meet RBL had 63 points, HAC 48 and Newfane 44. In the girls’ competition RBL had 74 points, Newfane 48 and HAC 34.

Julia Miles was a double winner for RBL in the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Newfane had a pair of double winners in Noah Kneeland (100 Fly, 500 Free) and Eli Thompson (100 Free, 100 Back).
