Medina girls top NT; Albion trims Barker

Leading from wire to wire, Medina scored a 41-31 victory over visiting North Tonawanda this evening in a non league girls basketball game.

Camri King scored a game high 22 points and Maddie Williams added 11 to spark the attack for Medina which improves to 5-4.  Tyesha Robinson added 5 and Kharise Johnson 3 for the Mustangs.

Kylie Miranto led NT with 11.

Medina jumped out to a 12-1 first period lead as King scored seven quick points on a layup, a jumper and a three.

Medina maintained a 21-10 lead at the half as King had 6 points and Williams a three in the second period.

The Mustangs went up by 14, 33-19, at the three-quarter mark as King and Robinson both had a pair of baskets in the third period and Williams hit a three at the buzzer.

Albion 46, Barker 34
Leading by a narrow three point, 36-33, margin at the three-quarter mark, Albion outscored host Barker 10-1 in the final stanza to claim a 46-34 Niagara-Orleans League victory.

Lexi Wolck scored 4 as Brylie Hapeman, Kirsten Struble and Sydney Mulka each netted 2 in the decisive final period for Albion which improves to 4-1 in N-O competition.

Hapeman finished with 13, Wolck 12, Struble 9 and Mulka 6.

Gabby Baker scored 13, Rachel Parfinski 7 and Bailey Sutch 6 for Barker which had the game tied 25-25 at the half.

Wilson 46, Newfane 29
Getting point production from 12 players, Wilson upped its N-O leading record to 6-0 with a 46-29 win over rival Newfane.

Izzy Dinse, Sarah Lewis and Skylar Munnikhuysen each scored 8 to lead the way for Wilson.

Madalyn Traverse led Newfane with 10.
